Residential Services Manager

Summary/Objective This position is responsible for developing a primary relationship with and supporting individuals with disabilities to grow, develop skills and live as independently as possible in the community.
This is accomplished by working one on one with the individual along with the management of Team Leads and Direct Support Professionals.
This position is responsible for daily management of Residential Services.
Essential Functions/Job Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
Daily management of the residential services program.
Remain knowledgeable of requirements for the Quality Management System (QMS), Bureau of Developmental Disability Services (BDDS), Bureau of Quality Improvement Services (BQIS) and other related standards and make appropriate recommendations for ongoing compliance.
Monitoring and decreasing health and safety risks within the Residential Services Program.
Ensure follow-up training for personnel as required for areas of concern.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager and Residential Director to monitor and review incidents and medication errors and utilize the incident reporting/med error tracking system to take appropriate action in alleviating problem areas or trends within all NHR services.
Remain knowledgeable on appropriate standards and track trends in order to provide recommendations for development and subsequent revisions of quality improvement policies and procedures.
Works in a cooperative manner with peers, subordinates and managers towards a mutual accomplishment of agency processes to meet goals and outcomes.
Communicate with personnel in a concise and professional manner.
Participate in agency activities and ensure community involvement for residential clients.
Supervise residential services employees, ensuring training compliance for all assigned employees.
When there is a lack of availability of staff, managers will assist with and provide direct support to individuals based on needs and individual goals.
Specific Duties The Residential Services Manager will work at minimum 40 hours per week.
20 of those hours must be billable to clients.
All overtime hours must be billable to clients.
Communicate with Residential Director, Quality Assurance Manager and Service Coordinator regarding proper service implementation.
Supervises assigned residential employees, ensuring compliance with employee training, addressing employee questions and concerns.
Assist Team Leaders with scheduling staff based upon the authorized Notice of Action (NOA) hours and the information provided by the Service Coordinator and Program Director.
Ensure the goals and activities in the ISP are implemented, using techniques and prompts as indicated.
Create, implement/schedule activities in home and community based on client interests/preferences and ISP.
Ensure that all personnel present themselves in a professional manner.
Co-conduct monthly Team Leader meetings or as needed.
Conducts quarterly audits in assigned homes, completing follow ups and corrective actions as needed.
Ensure Team Leaders conduct quarterly house meetings, consisting of topics such as abuse/neglect, medication errors and any other issues/concerns.
Participate in ISO audits and complete follow up on corrective action as assigned.
Provide support for staffing needs and emergency situations.
Must be available to work nights, evenings and weekends.
Assume the duties of the Residential Team Leader position as needed.
Attend pertinent external meetings and trainings conducted by Indiana Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (INARF), BDDS and other agencies and groups as seemed appropriate by Director.
Acts and dresses in a manner that conveys professionalism in completing all duties of the position.
Understand the mission, values and operations of the agency and its services and represent NHR and the consumers served in a positive way and continually work for their full inclusion in activities of their choice.
Comply with all NHR policies and procedures.
Exchange relevant information and ideas with other NHR personnel on an on-going basis both through informal means and regularly scheduled meetings.
Promote health and safety in all agency activities.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form and deal with and solve practical problems.
Accepts and completes other duties assigned in a positive and cooperative manner.
Competencies.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
